After doing our own research on Herbs, and contemplating whether or not it is worth it to us to try an Herbal De-wormer, we have decided to take the plunge! Purpose:The purpose of this trial is to see how this popular herbal de-wormer compares to the regimen we have been using for the last 6 years. Our biggest issue here is freezing. Being 'off-grid' we generally do not have electricity, and therefore keeping conventional de-wormers from freezing is nearly impossible. And I am growing tired of having to re-purchase our medications just to ensure their effectiveness when needed. So, starting this month (June 8th, 2017) we are going to run a trial to put this 'Herbal remedy to the test and see it its all its cracked up to be. We will be using this for our GOATS and SHEEP. And will be doing fecal samples every 6 months to see if any effect is being noted. If at any time our animals begin to 'suffer' from a higher worm bio-load, we WILL intervene on behalf of our animals health/safety, and use a conventional medication. We are not a University, or dead set on using an herbal even at the cost of loosing a life; our animals are highly valued, so risking their health is NOT an option. But if the herbs can hold their own then we will strongly consider only using herbals on a regular basis--with conventional products as an emergency "go-to"..
